Kings XI Punjab Beats Chennai Super Kings By Six Wickets, CSK Will Play Qualifier 1

Mumbai: Its super Sunday Kings XI Punjab will take on Chennai Super Kings, winning the toss R Ashwin decided to bowl first KXIP lost six of their next seven matches to see their season fizzle out, whereas Chennai Super Kings are hoping to seal top-spot and with it, the all-important chance of playing in Qualifier 1.

Batting first CSK started off slow as they always do but soon lost Shane Watson to inform bowler for KXIP Sam Curran didn’t manage to play well.

It was good to come back by KXIP in last two overs as they managed to restrict CSK at 170 itself where Shami took two wickets in his last over both Ambati and Kedar failed to score for their side. Even MS Dhoni was not able to time the ball well.

For KXIP Sam Curran took 3 wickets following Mohammad Shami provided 2 wickets for his side. CSK was short of 20/30 runs.

Chasing the target of 171 runs KXIP started of well KL Rahul showing his class with a bat who scored 71 runs of just 36 balls and made it onside match lost his wicket but he did his job for KXIP.

Chris Gayle was struggling who managed to score only 28 runs off 28 balls lost his wicket to Harbhajan Singh.

Till the time both openers lost their wickets KXIP was completely in the game whereas Nicholas Pooran contributed well scored 36 off 22 balls.

Due to which KXIP easily won the match defeated the team which is the top of the table CSK.

CSK will be top of the table, the upcoming match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders will decide the final top four for playoffs.

Three teams already qualified for playoffs it will be doing or die match for KKR if they beat MI they will easily qualify for playoffs.
