Ladakh Records 54 New COVID-19 Cases, Tally Now 6,139

Mumbai: Officials said on Friday that Ladakh had registered 54 new COVID-19 cases, increasing the infection to 6,139.

He said that sixty-nine patients suffering from the disease have been brought down to 628 active cases in UT.

A total of 74 people have died due to COVID-19. While there were 36 fatal attacks in Leh, the remaining 38 died in Kargil.

Officials said 44 of the new cases were registered in Leh and 10 in Kargil.

He said that after his treatment, 11 other patients were discharged in Leh and 58 in Kargil.

With this, the total number of patients recovered has reached 5,438.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), India had a total of 81,37,119 cases, with 48,268 new COVID-19 infections.

The death toll is 1,21,641, with 551 new deaths. The total number of active cases is 5,82,649 after a decrease of 11,737 in the last 24 hours. A total of 74,32,829 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours with 59,454 new discharges.
