Sharad Pawar also accused the Centre of misusing probe agencies such as CBI, ED and many more for politics

“Centre is misusing some institutions like CBI, Income Tax, ED, NCB for politics,” NCP President Sharad Pawar added.

Earlier today, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi led a delegation and met President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

In their meeting, the delegation demanded an independent inquiry by two sitting supreme court judges & the removal of Minister of State Home Ajay Mishra Teni.

Uttar Pradesh police have so far arrested three people including the son of Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra Teni’s son Ashish Mishra.

Eight people were killed in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri as violence erupted during the farmers’ protest, claiming the lives of both farmers and BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) workers on October 3.

Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), a body of several farmer unions, had issued a statement regarding the incident and alleged that one of the four farmers was shot dead by Ashish Mishra, while the others had been run over by the vehicles of his convoy.

Refuting SKM’s allegations, MoS Teni said that his son was not present at the spot.
