Lockdown Imposed In 16 COVID-19 Hotspots In Thane Till March 31

Mumbai: Amid the increase in COVID-19 cases, Thane Municipal Corporation Tuesday closed 16 hotspot areas from 31 March till now.

Activities will be allowed in areas outside the hotspot as per the exemption granted by the Government of Maharashtra under Mission Start Again.

The state’s health department said on Monday that Maharashtra had 8,744 new COVID-19 cases, 9,068 recoveries and 22 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra Health Department said that a total of 22,28,471 COVID-19 cases have been registered in the state so far, of which 97,637 are active cases.

So far, a total of 52,500 people have died due to COVID-19 in the state. With 9,068 more recoveries in the state, 20,77,112 cases have been recovered from the virus.
