Lockdown Restrictions May Re-Impose In Himachal Pradesh: CM Jai Ram Thakur

Mumbai: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday announced that the government is considering imposing some restrictions on social ceremonies in the wake of disturbances in COVID-19 cases in the state. 

Presiding over a meeting of district-level officials in Mandi city to review the coronavirus status, Jai Ram Thakur directed the officials to educate COVID patients on regular medication in addition to fever and oxygen levels. 

The CM of Himachal said that health officials should try to motivate patients to provide PPE kits to make patients admitted to their hospitals feel better.

He further stated that COVID patients should be sent to major hospitals in the initial phase to increase the survival rate of such individuals.

This comes amid an increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state. According to the Union Health Ministry, there are 7,070 active cases in the state.
