Mumbai: In the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, about 61.50 per cent of the votes were cast for their votes in Uttarakhand.
According to the final voting percentage released by the Election Commission after matching data obtained from remote corners of hill state late Friday, 61.50 per cent of 78.56 lakh voters exercised their franchise on polling day.
The final poll percentage in Uttarakhand, released by the Election Commission, is slightly below 61.67 per cent recorded in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
In Tehri 58.30 per cent, Pauri 54.47 per cent and Almora 51.82 per cent, which is the reserved seat.
There were 52 candidates for five seats in Uttarakhand, where the fight was mainly between the BJP and the Congress.
