Maha Govt To Register Criminal Case Against Banks For Refusing Agricultural Loans
Mumbai: Home Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh today warned the banks saying a criminal case will be registered against them if they refuse to give agricultural loans.
“If we received any complaint against a bank that refused to give agriculture loans to farmers, we will register a criminal case against it,” warned the Banks.

Deshmukh said that he received many complaints against nationalized banks on the disbursal of loans, while the sowing season is on its peak, in such time no bank should refuse to provide agriculture loans.
He said that the state government wants farmers to get hassle-free loans, and a special order has been issued in this regard.
