Maha Govt Will Walk In Footsteps Of Shivaji: Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai: Maha Vikas Aghadi will follow the footsteps pf Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, states Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray.

Thackeray was addressing a gathering after visiting Shivneri Fort, the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Pune district, where he paid tribute to the Maratha warrior king and his mother Rajmata Jijabai.

“I know that the Chief Minister of Maharashtra means Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Chief Minister of Maharashtra, so the way of functioning is that of Shivaji Maharaj because this state is for the poor, common people, farmers and women,” he said.

Thackeray said that he has got the responsibility of the top post due to the blessings of Shivaji Maharaj and his mother.

“You all remember the same thing happened last year. I came here and collected a handful of mud from the fort and took it to Ayodhya. Believe it or not, exactly one year later, we got good results.”

“This responsibility (of CM post) that I have got was also unexpected. It means that it was the blessings of Shivaji Maharaj and Rajmata Jijau,” he said.

He said that he has sought the blessings of Jijau and Shivaji Maharaj to take the blessings of the people and create a Maharashtra of people’s hopes, which will make everyone proud of the state.
