Maha: Thane COVID-19 Tally Crosses 1.46 Lakh

Mumbai: Officials said on Monday that the number of COVID-19 cases in Thane has increased to 1,46,102.

Also, the death toll of COVID-19 in the district has increased to 3,921, as 28 more people died of the disease on Sunday.

A district official said that out of the total COVID-19 cases, Kalyan city has recorded more than 35,000 cases so far, while Thane city and Navi Mumbai have more than 30,000 cases.

On Sunday, Kalyan registered 549 cases, followed by Navi Mumbai-368 and Thane City-347. He said the remaining cases came from other parts of the district.

So far, the district has 17,784 active COVID-19 cases, while 1,24,397 patients have been recovered.

The official said that the recovery rate of COVID-19 in the district is 85.14 percent, while the death rate is 2.68 percent.
