Maha Vikas Aghadi’s CMP Promises Immediate Loan Renunciation To Farmer’s

Mumbai: Announcing it’s Common Minimum Program (CMP), the Congress-NCP-Shiv Sena combine, known as the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), on Thursday promised immediate farm loan waiver and said the government would ensure 80 per cent quota in jobs for locals.

Ahead in the press conference the Sena’s Eknath Shinde Said, “In Maharashtra, farmers are facing problems.

This government will do best for farmers. This will be a strong government.” Crop insurance, immediate loan waiver and remunerative prices for farm produce were some of the other assurances made for farmers by the NCP-Shiv Sena-Congress combine in the CMP.

Bounded with the statement if Shinde NCP leader Nawab Malik and Jayant Patil outlined the government’s plan for the next five years and assured maximum focus on farmers in the state in the press conference.

The five points were mentioned in the CMP announced by the tri alliance Providing immediate assistance to farmers who are suffering due to premature rains and floods and grant of immediate loan waivers to farmers. The Crop insurance scheme will be revised by the CMP to ensure immediate compensation to the farmers who have lost their crops and appropriate measures will be undertaken to ensure remunerative prices for farm produce.

It says that “Adequate steps shall be initiated for the construction of a sustainable water supply system for the drought-affected areas.”

Other topics addressed in the CMP include unemployment, women, education, urban development, health, industry, social justice, and tourism, arts and culture.

The Maha Vikas Agadhi’s CMP also stated that a law would be enacted to ensure 80 per cent reservation of jobs for local youth. “There will be a compulsion and law will be enacted to ensure 80 per cent reservation for locals in the existing and new companies,” Shinde was quoted as saying by ANI.
