Maharashtra Assembly Election: Shiv Sena Releases Manifesto, Promises To Make Farmers Debt-Free

Mumbai: Ahead of Maharashtra Assembly polls BJP’s alliance Shiv Sena which is contesting over 124 seats has released its manifesto, which promises to provide a full meal at Rs 10 and make farmers debt-free, among other things.

The manifesto was released by party president Uddhav Thackeray and his son and Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray, who is making his election debut from Worli constituency in Mumbai.

In the manifesto, the party has promised to set up 1,000 food joints across Maharashtra, where full meals will be made available for Rs 10.

It has also promised to cut the electricity rates of domestic consumers by 30 per cent and also said that it will make farmers debt-free.

Its other promises include ‘1 Rupee Clinic’ to be launched across the state to provide health check-ups, under which 200 different types of diseases will be screened.

Thackeray said that the manifesto focuses more on issues related to women.

In the manifesto, Sina also said that there are some open spaces in urban areas, which would be used to develop urban forests in cities like Mumbai and Thane.

Maharashtra assembly elections are scheduled on 21st of October and result to be declared on 24th of October.
