Maharashtra Govt Requests Railway To Allow Travel Via Local Trains For Bank, Court Employees

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has requested the railways to allow employees of various central government offices/establishments, high courts, and public sector banks to travel by local trains.

The state government said that the final decision in this regard will be taken by the Railways.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Maharashtra is the most affected state with respect to COVID-19 cases and 1,69,883 cases have been registered, out of which 73,313 active cases were 88,960 / patients and 71010 patients were cured.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Tuesday that with 18,522 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, India’s coronavirus count is now 5,66,840.
