Maharashtra Police Records 533 New Coronavirus Cases

Mumbai: Maharashtra Police said on Wednesday that it has registered 533 new COVID-19 cases and three police personnel have died in the last 24 hours due to the novel coronavirus.

“The total positive cases in the police force have increased to 17,972, including 3,523 active cases, 14,269 recoveries, and 180 deaths,” the police said.

Currently, Maharashtra is leading the COVID-19 rally in the country with 2,43,809 active cases. The state accounts for 27 percent of the country’s total active cases.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Wednesday that India’s COVID-19 case has crossed the 43 lakh mark with 89,706 new cases and 1,115 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry said, “The total cases stand at 43,70,129, including 8,97,394 active cases, 33,98,845 / fine / displaced / displaced cases and 73,890 deaths.”
