Maharashtra Politics Crisis: Nationalist Congress Party Condemns Imposition Of President Rule

Mumbai: Ater Presidents Rule imposed in Maharashtra, Congress’s Ahmed Patel condemned the imposition of President’s rule in Maharashtra and said that the BJP-led central government never cared about the guidelines.

He also lambasted the Maharashtra Governor for not inviting the Congress to stake claim to form a government.

Explaining why the Congress did not give a letter of support to the Shiv Sena, Patel said, “The Congress president said that some issues needed to be clarified and therefore we could not give the letter before that.

No coalition can be formed in a hurry and we are still discussing the modalities of a possible alliance. The Congress leader said that we are in talks with NCP and will talk to Shiv Sena later.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar said, “We are in no hurry. We will discuss with Congress and then take a decision (to support Shiv Sena)”.

Earlier, BJP was invited b governor to form govt but party refused, after which governor invited Shiv Sena to do the same but Sena cloudn’t provide the letter from other two parties at last NCP was invited NCP but three hours before the deadline that was given to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) by the Governor to stake claim to form government in the state President’s rule in Maharashtra for six months.
