Major Drawback For Chandrababu Naidu As Three TDP Rajya Sabha MPs Joined BJP

Mumbai: In a major setback, Rajya Sabha MPs of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) resigned from the party today and three of them joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, which is a shameful moment for party chief Chandrababu Naidu.

The MPs submitted their resignation to Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday after showing a keen interest in joining the BJP in Delhi.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) members YS Chowdhury, TG Venkatesh, GM Rao, and CM Ramesh gave in their resignation from the party as they met M Venkaiah Naidu, Vice-President and Rajya Sabha chairman in the national capital.

Party President and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu are on a foreign trip with the Naidu family, TDP can fall into deep crisis at such times.

Meantime, other TDP leaders, including former legislators, had a secret meeting in Kakinada, stating that they are planning to join the BJP or YSR Congress Party (YSRCP).

In the recent elections, the YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh had to lose the TDP power. The party secured only 23 out of 151 assembly seats. He won only 25 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
