Makers Of Film ‘Chhapaak’ Conduct Social Experiment, Shares Video

Mumbai: Makers of Deepika Padukone starrer film ‘Chhapaak’ recently conduct a social experiment and examine how people from various paths of life react to being around acid attack survivors.

Sharing the campaign on social media Deepika Padukone captioned the post “Be the change you want to see… A Social Experiment by Team Chhapaak!”

Deepika, who plays the acid attack victim in the film, donated the character’s makeup and visited an accessory store, supermarket and mall in the company of some acid attack survivors.

While some people were sociable others reacted to what was clearly scared. The entire episode was captured via the team’s hidden cameras and a compiled video was posted by the actor on various social media platforms on Tuesday.

‘Chhapaak‘ is based on real-life acid attack Survivor Lakshmi, who was attacked at the age of 15 by an alleged lover in 2005. His attacker, a 32-year-old man, was an acquaintance of his family.
