Making Cheap Comment On Saina Shows Ignoble Mentality: Law Minister On Siddharth
Mumbai: Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has said that making a cheap comment on an iconic personality like Saina Nehwal depicted a person’s “ignoble mentality”.

Responding to her tweet, he posted, “Subtle cock champion of the world…Thank God we have protectors of India.”
However, after the tweet, on Monday, received widespread attention and backlash on social media, he issued a clarification, tweeting, “COCK and BULL. That’s the reference. Reading otherwise is unfair and leading! Nothing disrespectful was intended, said or insinuated. Period.”

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also taken cognizance of the post. The women’s body wrote to Twitter India, seeking to block Siddharth’s Twitter handle. The body’s chief Rekha Sharma has written a letter to the Tamil Nadu Police, demanding “speedy and strict” action in the matter.
