Mamata Banerjee Denied Rahul Gandhi’s Helicopter To Land In Darjeeling

Mumbai: Shankar Malakar, senior Congress leader and candidate for Darjeeling Lok Sabha seat, criticized West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee for ‘resorting cheap methods’ for her opponents.

His comment came after when Darjeeling district administration denied for Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s rally which was tabled to be on 14th April.

“Using such cheap methods clearly states that Trinamool is feared with Congress”, Shakar.

He stated, “With due permission through social app rally of President Rahul Gandhi was approved for 14 April but now the permission is denied to a land helicopter of him even when the venue of the meet was given a week back on 7th April.”

Shankar said that for an SPG protected leader, no new dates could be decided as Darjeeling will go for voting on 18th April.

On 18 April the second phase of election is scheduled. Elections will end on 19th May.
