Man Cancels Order Because Of Non-Hindu Deliver Boy

Mumbai: On Tuesday night one man took to the twitter to address the company about his complaint. The man cancelled his order as the Zomato wasn’t providing him with a Hindu rider. He demanded the company for a change in the riders, but the company denied leading to order cancellation and got no refund.

“Just cancelled order on @zomatoIn,” Amit Shukla tweeted. “They allocated a non-Hindu rider for my food they said they can’t change rider and can’t refund the cancellation,” the agitated customer tweeted in series with screenshots of the conversation he had with the company.

Amit Shukla is a resident of Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh. The Zomato in return replied with two sentences that might have lost one customer but earned many more,

“Food doesn’t have a religion. It is a religion.” Tweeted Zomato.

The customer also tried to threaten the company saying that he would talk with his lawyers when the company denied to refund him the order money.

The founder of ZomatoIN also replied through twitter saying that the company respects the diversity in India and would never do anything that will fail their values. Deepinder Goyal said, “We are proud of the idea of India- and the diversity of our esteemed customers and partners. We aren’t sorry to lose any business that comes in the way of our values.”

This move was appreciated by everyone for “rejecting bigotry and hate”
