Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a man killed his 20-year-old daughter as she got married without his concern to a man she was in love with for over four years, the official said.
Police have arrested the man, the incident took place in suburban Ghatkopar Mumbai.
Minakshi was found on the footpath in Narayan Nagar area on Sunday and her neck was given severe throat scars.
“During the investigation, we found that Meenakshi was married and was pregnant, we talked to her husband, her in-law, and her father. She told her in-laws that she is going to meet her father and will go ahead with him to her maternal home,” said the official.
“Investigations revealed that Meenakshi and her father were together on Saturday night, during which they killed him with a sharp weapon.”
Chourasiya is a resident of Matunga in central Mumbai and owns Pan shop in the vicinity.
