Man Kills Wife and Her Alleged Lover in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh

Mumbai: In a tragic incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun district, a man killed his wife and her alleged lover late Thursday night after discovering them together in bed.

The Accused and the Victims

Kunwar Singh, a labourer in his mid-thirties, lived with his wife Aarti (32) and their two young children. For months, Kunwar had suspected Aarti of infidelity, which led to frequent arguments. His suspicions were confirmed when he found her in an alleged relationship with Chhavinath Singh, a resident of a nearby village with family ties to Tikri Mustkil.

Tensions Leading Up to the Incident

About ten days prior, a heated argument over the alleged affair prompted Aarti to file a domestic violence complaint against Kunwar. Fearing arrest, Kunwar had been evading the police since the complaint was lodged.

On Thursday night, Kunwar returned home unexpectedly and discovered Aarti and Chhavinath together in his room. Enraged, he attacked them with an axe, killing both instantly.

Impact on the Family and Community

The couple’s two children, aged 10 and 8, were asleep during the incident. Awakened by the commotion, they ran out screaming, alerting nearby villagers.

Villagers informed the police, who arrived at the scene with a forensic team. Evidence was collected, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.

Legal Proceedings

Kunwar Singh surrendered to the police shortly after the incident and confessed to the killings. Investigations are ongoing, and further legal action will follow based on the findings.

The incident has left the community in shock, highlighting the devastating consequences of unresolved domestic disputes and infidelity.
