Mumbai : According to Police Saturday afternoon, a nine-year-old girl was to be hospitalized after rape by a neighbour at her home in the time-shift of outside Delhi.
The alleged offender, is unemployed he has committed a crime on the ground floor of her house, even though her wife and two-year-old daughter was up in the same building, Rajnish Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajneesh Gupta said.
“The wife of the suspect was unaware of the crime committed by her husband. It seems that after the word about spreading in the neighborhood, she came to know,” the DCP said.
As per reports the 28-year-old suspect managed to escape before being caught by the local residents and before reaching a police team’s place. He was later caught in the day and the police booked him for rape and sex crimes (POCSO) under the protection sections of children.
The girl lives with her parents who works as a daily wage earner. She was playing outside his home on Saturday afternoon when the suspect allegedly pleaded him to play with him. Since the girl knew her beforehand, so the suspect was easy to entice her, the officer said.
Later on the accused took her to his house, some lane away from her and raped her. The crime came to the notice of her relatives when she walked out of the house crying.
