Man Rapes His 58-Yr-Old Mother In K’taka; Taken Into Police Custody
Mumbai: A man was taken into custody after he allegedly raped his 58-year-old mother at a village in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada, police said on Saturday. The mother has been hospitalized and the son has been taken into custody, police said on Saturday.
According to the police, the victim’s mother fell ill after being sexually assaulted by the accused and was admitted to the Government Hospital in Puttur. The police have registered a case against the accused under sections 362(2)(n) and 506 of the IPC. Police say that the mother and the accused lived in the same house. The incident happened on January 12. The accused, who went to sleep in his room, woke up at 3 am and went to his mother’s room and committed the crime.
When the mother protested and shouted, the accused covered her face with a cloth. He had also threatened her that he would kill her if she told about the incident to anyone. The next morning the accused raped her again.
