Manish Tewari Hits Out At PM Modi Over Medical Aid To Serbia
Mumbai: Congress MP Manish Tiwari on Wednesday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that India is providing medical security equipment to Serbia, while the workers of the country are fighting the same.
“What is this happening Mr Prime Minister Narendra Modi? While Frontline Indian Health workers are struggling for protective equipment we are supplying Serbia. Air India to fly out Germans and 90 tonnes of Protective Medical Equipment to Serbia. Are we nuts? This is CRIMINAL,” Tewari tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday that the Foreign Ministry has identified suppliers from South Korea, Turkey and Vietnam to increase the availability of essential logistic items in the fight against coronaviruses.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation said on Monday that it was coordinating with state governments to supply medical equipment and essential items needed to prevent disease.
Total cases of coronavirus in India reached 1397 on Tuesday after 146 new infections were reported in the last 24 hours across the country.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 35, while 123 cases were cured or discharged after treatment.
