Mumbai: BSP supremo Mayawati urged the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh
“There are heart-rending reports about the spread of coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh villages after panchayat polls. There is fear among people. The government should work it on a war footing. That’s BSP’s demand,” Mayawati tweeted.
He further said that in the last few months assembly elections special attention should be paid to the spread of the virus in rural areas.
Keeping in view the instructions of the Supreme Court regarding the supply of oxygen, he said that steps should be taken in this regard soon.
