Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma Tests Positive For COVID-19

Mumbai: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said on Friday that he has tested positive for COVID-19, and those who have come in contact with him have recently asked him to test them if necessary.

On Twitter, the chief minister said that he was separating from the home.

“I have tested positive for #Covid_19. I am under home isolation and experiencing mild symptoms. I request all those who came in contact with me in the past 5 days to kindly keep a watch on their health and if necessary get tested. Stay safe,” he tweeted.

Sangma’s two cabinet colleagues – Health Minister AL Heck and Urban Affairs Minister Sniyabhalang Dhar – were diagnosed with the infection in October.

Both have been recovered. So far, 12,586 COVID-19 patients have been registered in Meghalaya, out of which 123 died due to infection.
