Meghalaya Reports 872 New COVID-19 Cases, 24 More Deaths

Mumbai: A senior official said that Meghalaya on Wednesday registered 872 new COVID-19 cases, reaching 25,744.

Director of Health Services Aman War said that twenty-four more deaths increased the death toll to 379.

The senior official said that since Tuesday, 411 people have recovered from the infection, which has increased the total number of healthy people to 19,596.

There are currently 5,769 active cases in Meghalaya. He said that so far a total of 5.98 lakh trials have been conducted in the state.

According to the war, a total of 4.15 lakh people have been vaccinated in the state, of which more than 78,000 people have received both doses of the Covshield vaccine.
