MHA Grants An Exemption For Board Exams, To Be Held In July

Mumbai: Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday that Class 10 and 12 pending board exams have been granted exemptions from Lockdown rules, but will have to follow some conditions as Social distancing, use of hand sanitizer and wearing of masks.

“Taking into consideration the academic interest of a large number of students, it has been decided to grant exemption from the lockdown measures to conduct Board examination for classes 10th & 12th, with few conditions like social distancing, face mask, etc, for their safety,” said Amit Shah in a tweet.

Minister also attached a letter from Union Home Secretary Aditya Bhalla that stated Thermal Screening will also be compulsory at all exam centers and there will be no examination centre in containment zones.

29 pending exams of both the classes will be held between July 1 and July 15.
