Mizoram Reports 50 New COVID19 Cases, Tally Rose To 3,710

Mumbai: A health department official said that the COVID-19 tally of Mizoram increased to 3,710 on Tuesday, which included 50 more people including nine Border Security Force (BSF) personnel.

He said that the Vidhan district has the highest number of 22 new cases, followed by Aizawl and Searship (nine each) and Champhai (eight).

The official said 11 infections were detected in RT-PCR tests, 11 during Trunet and nine during rapid antigen tests.

He said that nine BSF personnel, six children, and three elderly persons are among the new patients.

The official said that thirteen new patients have a history of travel, while 37 infections were found during contact infection.

He said that there are now 502 active coronavirus cases in the state, while 3,203 people have recovered from the disease and five patients have died due to infection.

The official said that Mizoram has tested 1,42,133 samples for COVID-19.

According to data from the Union Ministry of Health, updated on Tuesday, 37,975 new coronavirus infections were seen in India, taking the country’s COVID-19 caseload to 91.77 lakh in a day, while the recovery to 86 lakh Has crossed.

Total coronavirus cases increased to 91,77,840, while the death toll rose to 1,34,218 with 480 new deaths, shown at 8 am.
