Mumbai: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that her government is much satisfied with the National Register Of Citizens (NRC).
The statement comes ahead of meeting PM Narendra Modi here on Friday.
Speaking with reporters here Hasina said that she has spoken to Modi on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York and that she was satisfied with the PM’s response that Bangladesh should not be worried about NRC.

Prime Minister Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi can certainly discuss various issues including Teesta as well as Rohingyas, ”the Dhaka Tribune quoted Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzam Ali as saying.
He said that so far it has been confirmed that seven to eight MoUs are to be signed, most of which are connected, cultural and technical cooperation, and trade and investment after the bilateral meeting of the two Prime Ministers on 5 October.
