Mukesh Ambani And His Family Receive Threat Calls, Mumbai Police Begin Probe

Mumbai: A complaint has been filed by the Reliance Foundation Hospital about receiving calls posing threats to Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his family, ANI reported quoting Mumbai Police on Monday.

The incident is reminiscent of the high-octane investigation that began on February 25 last year after a car containing gelatin sticks used to make explosives was found outside Ambani’s residence.

As reported by Mumbai-based news daily Mid-Day, a threat call was made on the display number of the hospital, said police.

A senior Mumbai Police official told the newspaper, “We have received a complaint from the hospital and we are verifying it. The call seems to have been made on the hospital’s display number.”

Dr Tarang Gyanchandani, the CEO, of Reliance Foundation Hospital, told Mid-Day that a total of 8 calls were made in which the chairman and family of Reliance Industries were threatened with death by an unknown caller.
