Mumbai: Police Registers 19 FIRs Against 155 People For Flouting COVID-19 Norms

Police: On Monday, Mumbai police booked 155 and arrested 92 others for violating pandemic rules and other COVID-19 rules.

In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, eleven cases were filed against hotels and other establishments for violating the COVID-19 protocol, which includes maintaining social distancing and operating beyond the permissible limit of 08:00 pm.

According to a report, a total of 19 FIRs were registered by the Mumbai Police against 155 people for violating the epidemic. A one-night curfew was imposed in the city since Sunday, as the second wave of the novel, Coronavirus, is taking its biggest single-day spike in Mumbai.

Reports state that people are for violating night curfew orders as well as other COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).

As reported by the Indian Express, Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale ordered an “all-out operation” against anti-social elements from Sunday night to Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, a total of 92 people have been arrested, police have registered cases against 155 people and 47 accused were allowed to go after they were served notice.
