Mumbai Woman Fails To Repay Loan, Recovery Agent Morphs Her Face On Porn Video

Mumbai: Mumbai Police have arrested a 19-year-old loan recovery agent from Karnataka for sending a morphed porn video of a woman to her cousin after the victim failed to repay a loan.

The police have accused the debt collection agent of molestation under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act. The Andheri GRP on Monday arrested a 19-year-old girl from Karnataka.

On March 4, the victim’s cousin found a pornographic video from an unknown number while she was on her way from Andheri to Vile Parle. According to the report in the Times of India, she found this video on WhatsApp.

In the video, along with the face of the victim, the face of the woman has also been tampered with. On receiving the video, the cousin went into shock and took the video to the police. The cousin also received a text message from an undisclosed number, stating that the victim was now working as a sex worker as she had failed to repay the loan. The phone number of the victim was also in the video.

Acting on the complaint, the police tracked down the number and found that it was registered in the name of a senior citizen. Her phone was being used by her teenage nephew. The nephew worked as a debt collection agent and earned a 10 per cent commission. The details of the defaulters were provided to them by the lending company.
