Nagarjuna Donates ₹1 Cr To Help T’wood Workers Amid Lockdown

Mumbai: Nagarjuna Akkineni on Saturday announced he has donated ₹1 crore “for the well-being” of Tollywood industry’s daily wage workers amid the nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic.

Tollywood stars Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and many others have donated huge amounts to Chief Minister and Prime Minister funds and FEFSI to help the public and daily salaried employees in the COVID 19 crisis.

Nagarjuna tweeted, “#lockdown is a harsh reality and a necessity!!! Appreciating the response from my colleagues I am Donating an amount of Rs 1 Crore for now as my bit for the well being of daily wages Film workers during this #Coronacrisis. May God bless us!! #StayHomeStaySafe.”

A nationwide lockdown was carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prevent an outbreak of coronaviruses. The shooting of films has been stopped, which will affect the daily wage earners in the industry.
