National Parties To Be Rejected Owasi Tells Dalits, Muslims And Adivasis

Mumbai: A month has been left for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, and the battle has began meanwhile All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi asked Dalits, Muslims and Adivasis to come together and reject national parties in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Speaking at a rally of Vananchaa Bahujan Fahadi on Sunday in Kalyan of the district, he said that it was time to retreat instead of continuing “suffering” for “deprived” as it had happened in the past 70 years.

He said Babasaheb Ambedkar had laid down equal rights for all citizens of the country.

While taking a dig at both, the ruling party BJP and the opposition Congress, they claimed that the parties have been elected on the votes of the deprived classes, but injustice is done to them.

The AIMIM president said the country needed a “pehredar” (guard) rather than a “chowkidar” (watchman), a term Prime Minister Narendra Modi often uses to describe himself and his role.

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi also came in for criticism from Owaisi who called him a “janeudhari” (wearer of the sacred thread).

Owasi is three-time Member of Parliament (MP), representing the Hyderabad constituency in Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament.
