Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau said Karan Sajnani, a businessman and celebrity manager Rahila Furniturewala, has been arrested in the ongoing case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR).
Sajnani and Furniturewala, who were in judicial custody in connection with the alleged drugs case, were both brought to the NCB office on Thursday.
The NCB had earlier confirmed that both these individuals may have alleged involvement in the case.
Celebrity manager Rahila Furniturewala and businessman Karan Sajnani have been arrested in a drug case involving Sushant Singh Rajput.
NCB sources had informed about the arrest of another person in the case of Rajput’s death on Thursday. The arrested person, Jagtap Singh Anand, is the elder brother of Karamjeet alias KJ, who was earlier arrested in the case.
Several transactions were found between Jagtap, KJ and others. According to NCB sources, Jagtap was also allegedly involved in the drug business.
The NCB investigating the drugs angle in Sushant’s death started the investigation after receiving an official communication from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which had various chats related to drug consumption, purchase, use and transport.
Sushant died by alleged suicide in his apartment here on June 14, 2020.
