NCB To File Charge Sheet In Sushant Singh Rajput-Related Drugs Case Today

Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will file its charge sheet in the Sushant Singh Rajput drugs case on Friday. NCB chief Sameer Wankhede himself will file a charge sheet, which is said to be over 30,000 long.

Rhea Chakraborty, the girlfriend of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who has been in jail for a month in the drugs case, has also been named in the NCB charge sheet.

A total of 33 people have been named in the charge sheet prepared by the NCB in the Sushant Singh Rajput drugs case.

Apart from Rhea Chakraborty in the charge sheet, the NCB has also named several drug peddlers and other accused persons. During its investigation into the drugs case, most of these accused were arrested by the NCB.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment in June last year, triggering a large-scale debate on nepotism and the functioning of Bollywood, which soon turned into a drugs case involving several big names of the industry.

The case of drugs was registered with the agency in August last year following a revelation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). ED discussed the purchase of drugs with NCB from Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Shovik Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput’s former talent manager Jayanthi Saha and Deepesh Sawant, Samuel Miranda and other employees.

Following this revelation, NCB officials searched the residences of Miranda, Sawant, Riya and Shobik and later arrested him in the case. Riya, Shovik, Dipesh and Miranda were booked for harbouring alleged drug supplies and drug smugglers. Riya, Shovik, Dipesh, Miranda have been released on bail.
