Mumbai: Pune Police have arrested a rape accused for allegedly sexually assaulting his 15-year-old neighbour on several occasions.
According to the complaint, the accused had allegedly barged inside the girl’s house and assaulted her for the first time on February 19 when she returned home from school and was changing clothes, the accused allegedly entered her home and threatened and raped her.
Later, threatened to kill her and repeatedly raped her. In July, the accused and his friend forcibly abducted her and kept her in Mumbai.
Swargate police said that we had sent him to the government hospital for medical examination. During treatment, the girl said that her neighbour raped her repeatedly, according to which we have registered a case and arrested the accused.
The police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
