NIMS University Hosts Successful Awareness Camp on Pollution Reduction for National Pollution Control Day

Manoharpur, Rajasthan, December 2, 2024 – On the occasion of National Pollution Control Day, the NIMS Sushma Innovation and Incubation Center (NSIIC), in collaboration with the Research and Innovation Club of NIMS University Rajasthan, successfully organized an insightful awareness camp focused on pollution reduction. The event aimed to raise awareness among local residents about the urgent need for sustainable solutions to combat pollution and preserve the environment for future generations.

The camp brought together experts and leaders from both departments to educate and engage the community in practical, innovative ideas to reduce pollution. The NSIIC team, including Dr. Sunil Bhatnagar (President), Dr. Mahaveer Singh (Vice-President), Dr. Shivang Mishra (Convener), and Dr. Sachin Kumar (Co-Convener), showcased several innovative initiatives focused on creating pollution-free solutions and encouraging local entrepreneurship in sustainability.

The Research and Innovation Club, represented by Dr. Bhumi Chaturvedi, Dr. Roopali Nath Mathur, and Dr. Anupama Sharma, focused on educating the public about the importance of research in addressing pollution and the need for grassroots efforts to make meaningful environmental change.

The Founder and Chancellor of NIMS University, Dr. Balvir S. Tomar, expressed his support for the camp, emphasizing the importance of such awareness programs in shaping a cleaner, greener future. He reiterated the role of education and innovation in tackling environmental issues at the community level. Notably, Dr. Tomar, who adds this accolade to his name after serving as the International President of the World Health Summit, is organizing the Regional Meeting of the World Health Summit in India, scheduled for April 25-27, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Through engaging activities, demonstrations, and discussions, the camp successfully conveyed the importance of individual actions in reducing pollution and promoted sustainable practices within the community. The event also highlighted the collaborative efforts of NIMS University’s departments to drive positive change.

This awareness camp marks an important step towards fostering a sense of responsibility and action among the public, encouraging them to actively participate in creating a pollution-free environment. NIMS University continues to lead efforts in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness through impactful initiatives like this.
