“No Civilians Or Soldiers Were Harmed During Balakot Bombardment”, Sushma Swaraj

Mumbai: External Affair Minister said on Thursday that no soldiers or civilians were harmed during Indian Air Force bombardment at Balakot, the biggest training centre of Jaish-e-Muhammad.

“We told the International community that we have instructed our soldiers to not to hurt any soldier or civilian and they supported us”, Swaraj said in an assemblence of BJP Mahila Morcha.

She added saying that the reason for Airstrike was for self-defence i.e 2 weeks after the Pulwama attack.

Pulwama attack happened on February 14 which rooted out the death of 40 Indian CRPF soldiers.

The BJP leader said, “Armed force was directed to target only on camps of Jaish-e-Muhammad and get a return”.

Swaraj took a jibe against Congress for not taking actions against Pakistan after 26/11 attack in Mumbai.

“Even after the death of more than 40 people belonging from 14 different countries died, still, the previous government (Congress) did not take any action against the neighbouring country (Pakistan)”, Swaraj.

She further added saying on Pakistan that the plan of BJP led government at the Organization of Islamic Corporation (OIC) in Abu Dhabi was the isolation of Pakistan. She said, “On March 1 Islamabad had been against on the invitation of India to OIC for a meet in Abu Dhabi but UAE rejected the plea”.
