‘No Complete Lockdown’ In Karnataka On May 31: CM

Mumbai: The Karnataka government has relaxed the lockdown norms for a day on 31 May.

The office of Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said on Saturday that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the interests of the general public of the state.

“There will be no complete lockdown on Sunday (tomorrow) in the interest of the general public of the state. Normal day to day life will continue tomorrow,” the statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) of Karnataka said.

According to the Ministry of Health, Karnataka has registered 2,781 cases of COVID-19 so far, of which 1839 are active cases.

Of the total, 894 people were cured/discharged and 48 died due to fatal infection.
