Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the importance of national unity and the strength of Sanatan Dharma while addressing the public in Gorakhpur on the occasion of Holi. He asserted that India can only develop when its people remain united, emphasizing that no global power can stop the nation from achieving its full potential if unity prevails.
India’s Growth Hinges on Unity, Says CM Yogi
Speaking at the Gorakhnath Temple, CM Yogi said, “Sanatan Dharma has only one proclamation: where there is Dharma, there will be victory. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a vision for a developed India. The country can progress only when it remains united. If India is united, it will be the best; and if it is the best, no external force can prevent it from becoming a developed nation. Our collective efforts must be dedicated to the nation. The message of Holi is clear – unity is the key to national integrity.”
Sanatan Dharma and Indian Festivals as Pillars of Strength
CM Yogi further emphasized that Sanatan Dharma’s strength lies in faith, and its essence is reflected in India’s diverse festivals. “The tradition of festivals and celebrations in India is unparalleled. No other country or religion possesses as rich a cultural tradition as Sanatan Dharma. The faith and unity reflected in our festivals drive India’s progress. From North to South, and East to West, Holi brings people together with enthusiasm and joy,” he stated.
Maha Kumbh 2025: A Testament to India’s Unity and Strength
Highlighting the success of Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, CM Yogi addressed critics of Sanatan Dharma, stating that over 66 crore devotees participated in the holy dip without discrimination, proving the strength of Hindu unity. “Those who doubted the unity of Hindus based on caste divisions should witness this grand event. The world was astonished by the sheer scale of devotion at the Maha Kumbh. This reflects the true spirit of India,” he said.
CM Yogi Leads Holi Celebrations at Gorakhnath Temple
Before addressing the public, CM Yogi performed puja and aarti at the Holika Dahan site within the Gorakhnath Temple premises, marking the beginning of the Holi celebrations in Gorakhpur. His address reinforced the cultural and spiritual importance of the festival in promoting harmony, devotion, and national unity.
