NPR Work Put On Hold In Uttar Pradesh

Mumbai: The NPR work is put on hold in Uttar Pradesh in the view of Coronavirus pandemic, according to the ANI.

The National Population Register (NPR) is the database collection of Indian residents at local, district, state, and national levels with house listing phase of census 2021.

The work had to start from April to September 2020 in all states except Assam. However, it has been suspended for now in the wake of Covid-19.

More than 85,940 people have been infected in India and 2,752 have succumbed to Covid-19.
