Number Of Coronavirus Cases In Maha Climbs To 147

Mumbai: In a fresh report, the total number of coronavirus patients in Maharashtra rose to 147 on Friday,  an increase of 17 within a day, health officials said.

Earlier in the day, 12 people in Sangli and four people from Nagpur and another in Gondia, both in eastern Maharashtra tested positive for Coronavirus.

In Sangli, the number of COVID-19 patients is now 24.

All the infected persons of Sangli district belong to the same family or have come in contact with them. Some members of this family had returned from Saudi Arabia and later tested positive for the virus.

Civil Surgeon C. of Sangli District. S. Salunke said that neonatal coronavirus patients were already hospitalized.
