Odisha Reports 343 New COVID-19 Cases, Five More Deaths

Mumbai: A senior health department official said that after testing positive for infection of more than 343 people, COVID-19 Casillad of Odisha climbed to 3,22,642 on Thursday, while five fresh plagues hit 1,794 people in coastal areas.

Out of 343 new cases, 197 were reported from various quarantine centers, and the rest were imposed during the course of detection.

The maximum number of new cases in Sundergarh was 41, followed by Khurda and 32 each.

The Department of Health and Family Welfare said on Twitter, “To report the deaths of five COVID19 positive patients during treatment in hospitals.”

There are currently 3,383 active cases in Odisha, while 3,17,412 people have recovered from infectious disease.

The positivity rate in the state is 5.14 percent. The official said that thirty-five COVID-19 patients have also died due to commodities.

So far, over 62.81 lakh samples have been tested in the state, including 30,569 on Wednesday.
