Mumbai: Former India batsman Virender Sehwag came out in defence of Mohammad Shami, who has been trolled and abused online by certain social media users following India’s defeat to Pakistan
“The online attack on Mohammad Shami is shocking and we stand by him. He is a champion and Anyone who wears the India cap has India in their hearts far more than any online mob. With you Shami. As India lost to Pakistan on Sunday, fans took to Instagram and Twitter to lash out at Mohammed Shami.
Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets and none of the Men in Blue bowlers could make an impact off Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli also took note of some unruly behaviour of fans and the trolls were not kind to him as he was being criticized for his captaincy during the game.
Mohammad Rizwan and captain Babar Azam performed brilliantly as Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
This is the first time India has lost a T20 match by 10 wickets. Incidentally, this is also the first time that Pakistan has won a T20I by 10 wickets.
India will next square off against New Zealand on Sunday, October 31 while Pakistan will take on New Zealand on Tuesday, October 26
