Only Pulwama-Like Incident Can Swing Polls In BJP’s Favour: NCP Chief Sharad Pawar

Mumbai: NCP chief Sharad Pawar lambasts over opposition ahead of Maharashtra Assembly polls he said that only a Pulwama attack-like incident can change the mood of the people of Maharashtra as they have resentment for the incumbent Devendra Fadnavis-led government in the state.

Speaking to the media, Pawar said, “There was an atmosphere of anger and tension against Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the Lok Sabha elections. However, the Pulwama attack on CRPF personnel had changed the whole scenario.”

On the question of BJP joining hands before the election, Pawar said that NCP is trying to bring secular forces together. “We have joined hands with the Congress and now we are trying to take Bahujan Vikas Agadi, Samajwadi Party and other smaller parties with us.”

Earlier this month, while the Pawar met Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi over the seat-sharing arrangement, Shiv Sena last week confirmed that it’ll contest the forthcoming elections in alliance with BJP and the seat-sharing formula will be revealed soon.
