UP Minister Sidharth Nath Singh says Priyanka Gandhi Varda has always tried to manipulate public opinion

Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Siddhart Nath Singh on Monday criticized the opposition saying they are using the Lakhimpur violent incident as a ‘political tourism’ & ‘political competition’ for the upcoming assembly polls. Also Read: Union Minister Ajay Mishra’s Son, Others Booked For Murder After 8 Killed In UP

“We’re taking this matter seriously & it is under investigation. CM has said that culprits will be punished. Opposition is using the incident for political tourism & political competition as polls are around the corner,” UP Minister Sidharth Nath Singh said to ANI.

“We’ve seen Priyanka Gandhi Vadra doing political tourism earlier. It is an attempt to hamper the probe & manipulate public opinion. This shouldn’t happen. They should at least wait for 24 hours or visit after there’s a result to the probe,” UP Minister said.

Eight people were killed in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday as violence erupted during the farmers’ protest, claiming the lives of both farmers and BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) workers.

UP general assembly elections are scheduled in February or March 2022.
