“Our Students Have Become Learning Oriented And Very Practical In Their Approach” Vidushi Daga

Surat : Now a days technology has become one of the most important part of our life, technology can be used to enhance critical thinking and critical literacy skills, evaluating the legitimacy and accuracy of online content is the central part of 21st century education. So another important point is the use of technology for collaboration among students and teachers

Technology has the ability to enhance relationships between teachers and students. When teachers effectively integrate technology into subject areas, teachers grow into roles of adviser, content expert, and coach. Technology helps make teaching and learning more meaningful and fun.

Keeping this in view, WhizJuniors one of the online platform for students to learn and practice latest technology courses which enhances innovative and productive screen time. WhizJuniors provides an opportunity to enhance the entrepreneurial and learning skills of young minds with fun.

In an interview with TheChronicle, WhizJuniors Founder Vidushi Daga spoke about certain things related to WhizJuniors. The ideology behind the gadget in hand and their motto is something which is new to our ears.

Could you describe the beginnings of ‘Whizjuniors’, including its origins, inspiration, and other aspects? What is the primary reason for its existence?

Whizjuniors being the IP of Clone Futura Education Pvt. Ltd. stands as the most effective online technology learning platform available in the market today. The idea behind the existence of Whizjuniors is to provide children a platform to make their online time more productive with adding many skills to their mind. The inception of this platform happened when we saw the amount of time being spent on the gadget by a child, which ranged from 4-9 hours a day. This being the problem at hand, the solution to which other parents saw was to force children to leave the gadget and it didn’t work out. Leave alone children, taking the gadget out of an adult’s hand is even more difficult a task, hence expecting a child to not be on it seemed very tough. Hence, we decided that let the gadget be in the hand of the child but we start making his time productive and at the same time add skills. So the reason, Whizjuniors is called a social-gamified learning platform.

What are the hindrances in the traditional education method? How are social gaming technology platforms improving education?

In most parts of our country traditional methods of teaching are more preferred over technological learning. Where, the key objective of traditional teaching is to pass examinations, on the other hand social gaming technology focuses on learning and other practical aspects.  Social gamified technology platforms like Whizjuniors help students to clear their concepts through various quiz programmes, videos and regular interactive processes. It also helps to learn and practice technology courses which enhances innovation and creativity and productive effective results in lesser screen time.

How has Whizjuniors bridged the gap between age and learning through social gaming technology platform?

Whizjuniors is a social gamified tech learning platform for school students which is democratizing learning & making learning fun. The platform is introduced to students through their schools. Our motto is to solve the problem of tomorrow, by making people realize that technology is what they need to know. Computer skills and entrepreneur skills are the major skills imparted currently through Whizjuniors platform.

How different are your technology courses compared to the traditional ones?

It is noticed that students often lack focus when it comes to online learning. They tend to avoid topics which may be considered difficult, hence students lack the opportunity to learn relevant tech courses outside of their school syllabus. We at Whizjuniors teach what is to be taught, teach the way it has to be taught and how much is to be taught. The courses are made specifically to cater to children using simple English, intuitive reasoning and a user-friendly interface. The platform also allows students to directly receive help on the platform. An additional feature in the platform also allows the teachers and parents to track the performance and progress of the student. These courses are different in many ways like the students earn chips while learning, which can be redeemed against real items like Xbox, computer or laptop etc. This becomes good incentive for kids to learn at their leisure.

What improvements you have noticed among the students after the use of social gaming technology platform?

What we have identified is that our students have become learning oriented and very practical in their approach.  The interest towards computer skills has gone up. As the future is technology, the kids are able to do many things with the help of the learnings from our platform. Lots of new kids who come to our platform first time never had exposure to technology. In developed markets like the US and the UK, coding is taught since the age of 4 years. They have even learned to program and build games, apps, websites, designing, make their projects and more. Our student Aahaan Phadnis has won a worldwide Multimedia competition by UNESCO. Another student, Medhansh Mehta, 8-Year- Old Genius Stunned Microsoft’s CEO with his coding skills, he is widely known as the Microsoft Boy! Adding to the list is Om Deshmukh, he has developed this brilliant App idea called, Ghar Ka Khaana.

What would Whizjuniors comment on human relations when it comes to learning a skill from the gadget itself?

We do need human intelligence to build a gadget and run it. While having people on board we do tell them that they should not become the gadget but adjust to it and survive along. Yes technology is the future but that does not substitute the humans out of it. To learn a technical skill well the human interpersonal relations come into play and define it.

It is great to hear about investing time in a better way but what does the level of blue screen attachment for those many hours?

The problem at hand we faced was taking the gadget out of the child’s hand is very difficult and let’s agree to the fact that even parents are stuck to the phones and its very difficult to get our eyes off the screen because that invention itself is so captivating and has eased life around us, hence who wouldn’t want it? As far as the blue screen time is concerned, measure that a parent can take is to reduce the amount of time their child spends on the screen. Allowing only limited time and that too productive time will be able to resolve the issue.

Five years down the line where do you think will the social gaming technology platform be

We would like to offer a choice to kids, schools, teachers and parents for learning various concepts & methodologies used in computer skilling. We aim to make this platform the first choice for kids in multiple skill. We have audacious plans of taking this model to international market, that’s when we will reach to considerable size that we aim to achieve in this market place.
