Pakistan Has No Locus Standi On Kashmir: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh
Mumbai: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday took a tough stance against Pakistan for protests in various international forums against the repeal of Section 370 relating to the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a program of DRDO, Singh asked how India can talk to Pakistan when Pakistan is trying to destabilize India using terror.
India wants to have good neighbourly relations with Pakistan, but it must first stop exporting terror to India, Singh said.
He asserted that Pakistan has no locus stand on Kashmir.
I want to ask Pakistan when Kashmir was from. Kashmir was always a part of India, ”he said.
The Union Minister said that Pakistan should focus on human rights violations and atrocities in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
He said that US Defense Minister Mark Osho told him during a telephone conversation that the violation of the provisions of Article 370 was an internal matter of India
He also sought to clarify that no country was supporting Pakistan on the issue of abrogation of Article 370.
“No country is with Pakistan on the current issue,” Singh added.
